Terms and conditions

Last updated: 13 July 2026

These terms apply to your use of DiffenVPN. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights, guarantees, remedies, or protections that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

Your VPN profile

Your VPN profile and configuration file are confidential access credentials. You are responsible for keeping them secure.

For individual plans, you may install the configuration file on multiple devices for your own use, but only one connection may be active at a time. You must not allow another person to use the profile.

For the Circle plan, you may share the configuration file with trusted people authorised by you under your subscription. They do not need to be related to you or live in the same household. Up to five connections may be active at the same time.

You are responsible for ensuring that all authorised users keep the configuration file secure and comply with these terms.

Unusually broad use across devices, networks, providers, IP addresses, or countries, or repeated attempts to exceed the connection limit, may trigger a security or misuse review and temporary restriction.

You must not sell, publish, transfer, rent, sublicense, or commercially redistribute your profile, configuration file, credentials, or account access.

Acceptable use, no resale, and enforcement

DiffenVPN is provided for lawful personal use, including lawful work use by the account holder.

An individual plan may be used by one person only, even where the service is used for business or organisational purposes. Use by multiple staff members, team members, contractors, or other users requires our prior written permission, which may include a separate team, corporate, or custom arrangement.

You must not use, attempt to use, or allow anyone else to use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, abuse, harassment, spam, credential theft, unauthorised access, malware, bot activity, copyright infringement, attacks on networks or systems, circumventing restrictions or suspensions imposed by DiffenVPN, or any activity that harms DiffenVPN, our providers, other users, or third parties.

You must not resell, rent, share, publish, transfer, sublicense, broker, or commercially redistribute your VPN profile, configuration file, credentials, or account access unless we have given you written permission.

If we reasonably believe a VPN profile or account is being used unlawfully, abusively, fraudulently, for resale, or in breach of these terms, we may immediately suspend, revoke, block, limit, or disable the affected VPN profile or account while we investigate or protect users, the service, our infrastructure, our providers, payment systems, legal compliance, or third parties.

After a reasonable review, we may permanently close an account, cancel service, refuse replacement profiles, restrict future access, or take other appropriate action where we determine that serious or repeated breach, unlawful use, fraud, abuse, resale, or harmful conduct occurred.

We may use account records, billing records, VPN connection metadata, usage records, support reports, provider notices, abuse reports, and automated or manual risk signals to investigate and enforce these terms. We do not need to prove a criminal offence before taking protective action under these terms.

Where permitted by law, accounts suspended, revoked, canceled, blocked, or closed after review for unlawful use, abuse, fraud, resale, or serious or repeated breach may be ineligible for refunds. This does not limit rights, guarantees, remedies, or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Lost, stolen, or copied profiles

If you believe your VPN profile has been lost, stolen, copied, duplicated, or used without permission, you must notify us as soon as possible.

After verifying your account, we may revoke the existing profile and issue a replacement. We may provide one free replacement profile per paid subscription period. Additional replacement requests may be refused, reviewed manually, or subject to a reasonable reissue fee.

Unauthorised use

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for activity through your VPN profile where that activity results from your failure to keep the profile secure or from giving it to another person.

We do not exclude responsibility for unauthorised use caused by our systems, our failure to use reasonable care and skill, or any matter where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Effect of suspension or revocation

Where practical, we will give notice before taking action. We may act immediately where needed to protect users, the service, our systems, our providers, payment systems, legal compliance, or third parties. If access is suspended, blocked, or revoked, the existing configuration file may stop working immediately and a new file may be required before you can reconnect.

Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable VPN service, but availability may be affected by maintenance, upgrades, network conditions, provider issues, misuse, security events, or matters outside our reasonable control.

If your VPN service is affected, we may show a generic service notice such as: "Your VPN may be temporarily unavailable while maintenance is in progress." We do not disclose internal server, provider, IP address, capacity, or infrastructure details to users.

Privacy and security

We collect and use account, billing, operational, and security information as needed to provide and protect the service. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and access credentials from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change materially affects your current paid service, we will take reasonable steps to notify you before the change applies.
